On June 4, the Yamaoka Memorial Foundation held its "2025 Annual General Meeting and Social Gathering of Supporting Members" in Osaka.

This annual event is organized once a year to provide corporate and individual members with an overview of the foundation's mission, purpose, and ongoing activities, thereby deepening understanding of its work.
At this year's gathering, a sales booth was set up where visitors could purchase items such as Dallmayr German teas and coffees, Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas ornaments, and German wines selected by Imai Shoten, creating an atmosphere rich in German flair.
The event opened with a welcome concert performed by members of the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra.
Works by German composers as well as well-known and much-loved pieces were presented, and the lively rhythms created a warm and cheerful atmosphere throughout the hall.

Following the concert, Chairman Yamaoka gave an address, expressing gratitude to the supporting members and emphasizing that the foundation’s activities form part of Yanmar Group's cultural initiative "HANASAKA."
Afterwards, Executive Director Yukino reported on the foundation's activities from the previous year and presented plans for the current year.
In the middle of the program, Consul General Melanie Saxinger introduced the German Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.
A scale model of the pavilion was exhibited, and with the aid of video presentations she explained its themes and concepts in detail. This segment heightened anticipation for the upcoming Expo.
The mid-program also featured a raffle using German-themed goods provided by participating shops as prizes, which further energized the atmosphere.
Finally, Yanmar Holdings Director Shirafuji delivered closing remarks, stressing the importance of initiatives aligned with Yanmar's guiding principle "A Sustainable Future."
The hall remained in a convivial spirit throughout, and the Annual General Meeting and Social Gathering concluded successfully.
